When I was a young girl, about 2, we got a family dog; her name was Ginger, golden lab mix. She was the perfect dog: loyal, obedient, loveable and playful. One of many Ginger memories was once, after my sister broke her arm at a camp ground, we all left in a hurry to get to the hospital and left her there by accident. When we returned after the chaos to get her, the neighbor campers reported she never left the very spot she was when we took off, she stayed true. We had other dogs in our childhood years, but none compared to her.
Fast forward years after Ginger crossed the rainbow bridge and to my husband and I having started our own family, I knew what the only option was in my heart, a golden retriever. I went through the experience of wading through options with different breeders, their requirements, etc and learned the things I did and didn’t appreciate about the experience. It was then we found and fell in love with the Goldens bred to the European standard and the rest is history.
Many of our puppies reside in the Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio areas of Texas. However, we have some pups that have made it all the way to California, Florida, Rhode Island, Ohio, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Wisconsin!
Our family of four lives on 16 acres outside of Tyler, Texas. We have our Goldens, some cows, a horse, chickens, cats and a partridge in a pear tree.
